Intel steps up wearable-tech investment with acquisition of Basis Science

By Natalie Mortimer Intel has made further investment into the wearable technology sector after it announced the acquisition of Basis Science, maker of wristband health trackers, into its Devices Group. The US chipmaker said the move would “accelerate Intel’s wearable products focus” and extend the company’s capabilities in the area.
