By John Glenday Money saving brand Voucher Cloud has launched a ‘geo-fencing’ smartphone app to push automatic notifications of High Street deals from contributing retailers direct to shoppers. Trials of the technology have already been conducted with Prezzo, Papa Johns, Subway, Hotel Chocolat, Jones Bootmaker, Strada, The Disney Store & Loch Fyne with each delivering current deals to enabled phones which fall within a 200m radius of their stores. These notification messages and timings can be customised by the retailers direct, with restaurants targeting at lunch and dinner times whilst they were hungriest.
