AOL On content made available on Apple TV

By John Glenday AOL has announced that its entire library of over 900,000 videos is to be made available on Apple TV in the US, Canada and UK as part of efforts to broaden the platform base of its AOL On service. Launched in the UK in March 2013 AOL On offers an eclectic range of content from food to sport with customised versions available for iOS enabled mobile and tablet devices. Apple TV viewers will be able to access content created by owned and partner sites such as HuffPost Live, TechCrunch, and Makers alongside original series. Sky shows door-to-door salesmen the door

By John Glenday Sky is to pull the plug on its door-to-door sales initiative amidst allegations that its agents lied about broadband speeds and download limits in the pursuit of commissions. The operation has been suspended with immediate effect with all 550 ‘Sky Walkers’ facing redundancy – although Sky insists its decision is unrelated to any mis-selling. Agents were summoned to a series of regional meetings on Monday to learn of their fate and have now been suspended from their roles whilst the wind down operation runs its course.
