A survey of UK consumers conducted by retail technology group Omnico has found that shoppers are still shirking online purchases from their mobile phones with 56 per cent of those surveyed never having done so.
Researchers highlight three key reasons why this might be so with 33 per cent citing security concerns, 31 per cent deterred by small screens and 29 per cent preferring the experience of a physical store.
This suggests significant scope for continued expansion in the sector for retailers willing and able to embrace the sector.
