So, let’s summarise the last fortnight: we now know Article 50 is to be triggered this Wednesday; the FBI is investigating Russian interference in the US election [unless it’s ‘fake news’ I’ve been reading]; Nicola Sturgeon (and possibly the Scottish people) want another referendum; unemployment is at a 32-year low (was it trying to get one up on the pound’s recent 31-year low against the dollar?); and both UK M&A and the FTSE are at an all-time high.
