More than 40 top creatives have each designed a flag in tribute to the Bankside area of London. The flags will be exhibited later this month at London Design Festival 2018.
The Bankside area has always been slightly removed from the mainstream of London life – from the Banksyde of Shakespeare’s day, a brothel-filled ‘pleasure quarter’, to today’s creative business warrens nestled in streets near the Tate Modern. NB chose to weave the area’s unique spirit into a vibrant, rebellious flag design that invokes ‘London’s Other Side’ and invited other creatives to do the same.
