Catriona Wood to head British Airways digital marketing team

British Airways has named Catriona Wood as its new head of its digital marketing and social media, reporting directly to the airlines head of brand engagement, Hamish McVey.

The role will see Woodward tasked with shaping and creating content for the brands social media output which has been praised for a number of innovative campaigns including an interactive ‘look up’ billboard advert that used real time data to track over flying aircraft.

This followed BA’s #RaceThePlane promotion which saw a Dreamliner aircraft virtually race against a plane fuelled by tweets, earning it a ‘most innovative’ campaign award from Twitter.
