Ride hailing app Grab has partnered with nuTonomy on its current trial of driverless cars in Singapore.

The deal will see select customers able to book a ride in a driverless car via the Grab app, with the end-to-end experience being tracked by both business as part of the trial. Within the app a new ‘robo-car’ icon will appear, allowing people to travel for free around the ‘One-North’ area of Singapore and surrounding neighborhoods.

According to nuTonomy, a safety driver will be on board and will take control of the vehicle for the parts of the trip outside One-North.
