Kitbag takes Twitter back to 1966 for 50th anniversary of England's World Cup win
Sports retailer Kitbag is taking social media back in time today to commemorate the 50th anniversary of England’s World Cup triumph.
The Manchester-based firm will devote its Twitter feed to ‘real-time’ coverage of the England v West Germany final to demonstrate how the dramatic game would have played out on social media if it existed at the time.
Social media manager James Travis said: “We wanted to celebrate the anniversary of English football’s greatest ever day in a way that was engaging and genuinely different.
