Oculus Rift enabled AR Drone lands on YouTube

Facebook-owned virtual reality headset Oculus Rift may not even be available yet but that hasn’t stopped innovative hackers from exploiting the technologies potential in ever more innovative ways, with an AR drone mash-up being a case in point.

Posted on YouTube a three minute clip shows off a group of enthusiasts taking their remote control copter for a spin in the local park, nothing too unusual about that you might think but this particular gizmo has been hooked up to an Oculus Rift to give the wearer a front row seat on board the toy aircraft.
