Former News of the World chief Rebekah Brooks has been found not guilty of all charges in the phone hacking trial at the Old Bailey, while Andrew Coulson has been found guilty of conspiracy to hack phones.
Brooks, the former News International chief has been cleared on seven counts, including Conspiracy to intercept communications, conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office, perverting the course of justice and perverting the course of justice.
Also standing accused was Brooks’ husband Charlie, her former assistant Cheryl Carter and News International head of security Mark Hanna, who were all cleared.
