Twitter acquires Gnip to help collect data
Twitter has acquired Gnip, a provider of social data, with the aim to offer more sophisticated data sets and better data enrichments in the future.
Making the announcement today, Jana Messerschmidt, VP of global business development and platform at Twitter, said that the move comes following a four year partnership with the data company, during which time “Gnip has played a crucial role in collecting and digesting our public data and delivering the most essential tweets to partners”.
