Almost three quarters of Glastonbury 2015 tweets about Florence & The Machine replacing Foo Fighters were negative

Almost three quarters (73.3 per cent) of the tweets regarding Foo Fighters being replaced by Florence & the Machine at Glastonbury were negative – hinting at the disappointment of festivalgoers at the loss of the headline act.

Following Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters frontman, breaking his leg during a gig in Sweden, Glasto organisers scrambled to replace the rock legends with a suitable stand-in, settling on Florence & The Machine.

A social media breakdown from marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi found that the top negative keywords addressing the news included “pissed” (nine per cent) and “gutted” (8.4 per cent).
