Amazon buzzing to test Prime delivery drones in Cambridge with research team expansion
Amazon is looking to hire a ‘flight operations engineer’ to oversee its Prime delivery drones at its research and development base in Cambridge.
According to a job listing on the website the e-commerce giant is seeking “a flight safety manager to ensure the safety and professionalism of [its] flight program”.
The ad marks the company’s latest efforts to push forward with plans to automate its courier service with flying drones.
The successful individual will need to be able to conduct Prime air tests both indoors and outdoors, to ensure that the operation adheres to local safety regulations, according to the ad.
