BBC's refusal to get into a "bidding war" sees The Voice poached by another broadcaster

The BBC has confirmed that the forthcoming fifth session of The Voice will be the last the broadcaster will air.
Revealing the show had been snapped up by another channel, a statement released by the BBC informed it wasn’t prepared to “get into a bidding war or pay inflated prices to keep the show.”
“The BBC is incredibly proud of The Voice, but the fifth series which starts in January will be our last,” read a statement from acting director of BBC Television, Mark Linsey.
