The BBC has extended its run of star studded promotional films, following the surprise production of a star-studded BBC Music film, by recruiting Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch to promote its drama output.

In the new promo Cumberbatch is seen reciting Shakespeare’s ‘All the World’s a Stage’ together with a clip compilation of landmark BBC dramas through the decades as well as new material.

These include an adaptation of JK Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy, Esio Trot starring Dame Judi Dench and Dustin Hoffman, James Nesbitt’s The Missing, Damian Lewis drama Wolf Hall, Jimmy McGovern’s new series Banished, the new version of Read full story ›
