Blackberry to boost Samsung smartphone security in new partnership

Blackberry has announced a security partnership with Samsung aimed at bolstering the encryption on the firm’s Android smartphones.

Despite the Canadian firm’s share of the smartphone market dropping in recent years, it remains a leader in communications. It will provide end-to-end encryption for Android devices embedded with Samsung Knox – the Korean firm’s digital safeguard platform.

As a result of the agreement, from next year, Samsung Android users will benefit from Blackberry’s BES12 security encryption service on their tablet and mobile devices.
