Businesses lose 15% of new followers within 3 weeks unless they make an effort to engage
Businesses will lose between five and 15 per cent of new followers in the first three weeks if they do not engage with them, while ‘ordinary’ individuals can expect to lose 20 per cent of new followers in the first week and 40 per cent over three weeks unless they make an effort to engage with these users.
Unsurprisingly it was discovered that this figure is much lower for influential individuals, who only lose one to three per cent over of new followers in a week.
