Buzzfeed's mobile app to 'Pop' with GIF sharing site GoPop acquisition
Buzzfeed has acquired animated GIF firm GoPop for an undisclosed sum in a move which will see it put to work the start-up team on bettering its in-development mobile apps.
The San Francisco-based service, which was launched February 2014, will close in the coming weeks as four members of the GoPop team are integrated with Buzzfeed’s mobile developers.
At Buzzfeed the GoPop team will work on a number of apps – which will presumably contain GIFs – with the current mobile developers.
