Channel 4 barred from Brexit rally following complaints of ‘piss taking’

Channel 4 politics correspondent Michael Crick has been barred from a Brexit campaign rally following complaints over the broadcaster’s “tone” during its EU referendum coverage.
The snub followed complaints from Robert Oxley, head of press for Vote Leave, at Channel 4’s coverage of the campaign, with Oxley complaining to a producer that “all Michael Crick does is take the piss.”
Crick was ostensibly denied entry to the London event, attended by Vote Leave figureheads Boris Johnson and Michael Gove, on the grounds that the gathering was oversubscribed but those who did manage to cross the threshold reported that attendance was sparse.
