Cheers! Newcastle Brown crashes the Superbowl with 37 supporters but (so far) only one TV station

Newcastle Brown Ale yesterday released its “crowdsourced” Super Bowl ad. The 60-second ad squeezes 37 brands into the ad that the Heineken-owned brand at first said will air on some local NBC TV stations during Sunday’s game.

The Inbev monopoly of beer advertising during the Superbowl all along meant that the Newcastle ad would likely air on only local stations . In fact the British brand said yesterday that the ad would air in only one market: Palm Springs, in California .
