Cycling app encourages Londoners to ‘Give a Beep’ for safety

London cyclists are being encouraged to download a new app called ‘Flic’, created by Swedish firm Hovding, which promises to apply political pressure on newly installed London mayor Sadiq Khan to do more for road safety.
A Bluetooth enabled digital button attached to the bike can be pressed by cyclists when they encounter a situation they deem to be risky or in need of improvement, upon which an email is automatically ‘beeped’ from a connected phone to the Mayor.
