David Bowie falls prey to ‘cybernat’ trolls

Veteran crooner David Bowie has fallen foul of a vitriolic campaign of hate by keyboard nationalists after he entered the independence debate on the side of the ‘no’ camp.

Using his Brit Awards acceptance speech to urge Scotland to remain a part of the United Kingdom Bowie exclaimed: ‘Scotland, please stay with us’.

The words didn’t go down well with so-called ‘cybernats’, a group of vociferous nationalists who have taken their fight to internet message boards and reader comment sections.
