Joshua Topolsky, who was hired by Bloomberg last year to oversee its digital news branch, is now leaving the company because of clashes with founder and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg over the design and direction of the website.

Topolsky was hired by Justin B. Smith, chief executive of Bloomberg Media, before the three-time mayor returned to oversee his media empire last year.

According to the New York Times, the former mayor has been very hands-on since resuming control of the company last fall, even becoming involved in matters such as the appearance of graphics on television. In Read full story ›
