Doubts over US Al Jazeera as Al Gore sues for $65 million that he says hasn't been paid

Al Gore is suing Al Jazeera, claiming the network owned by the Qatari royal family owes him and a partner $65 million from a deal to buy his network, Current TV, for $500 million.

The former US vice-president , 66, and Joel Hyatt, another former Current TV owner, accused Al Jazeera American Holdings of fraud and breach of contract.

They are seeking undisclosed damages in a complaint filed in Chancery Court in Wilmington, Delaware, says Bloomberg.

The men allege that Al Jazeera illegally tried to seize $65 million in escrow funds.
