South Carolina-based Erwin Penland has announced that its chief client officer Joe Saracino will take on the role of president at the beginning of next year.

He will succeed the agency’s founder and president Joe Erwin, who co-founded the shop nearly 30 years ago and is retiring at the end of this year.

Saracino joined Erwin Penland as chief marketing officer in 2011 and took on the additional role of chief client officer last year.

According to the agency, Saracino “has played an integral role in helping to reshape the organization through targeted new business development and enhance client service offerings.”
