ESI Media unveils Independent's editorial team that will press ahead with the title's digital revolution
ESI Media has announced the lineup of the Independent’s new editorial team following the title’s move to online-only.
Independent editor, Christian Broughton, will lead the team which will also include Robert Fisk, Hamish McRae, Patrick Cockburn and Janet Street-Porter.
Following the closure of the newspaper’s print edition, and widespread redundancies, around 40 journalists from the print arm have moved over to the new digital team which now has over 90 staff and is expected to grow further throughout the year with additional hires.
