Facebook Safety Check will now help people find shelter and food in a crisis
Facebook has updated its Safety Check feature with tools designed to let people find food or shelter in an emergency situation.
The social network has added a new service to called Community Help to the platform in order to let people find and give help, and message others to connect during a crisis.
“To start, we will make Community Help available for natural and accidental incidents, such as an earthquake or building fire,” said the company’s vice-president of social good Naomi Gleit, in a blog post.
