Rodney Fitch, founder of the design company Fitch, passed away this weekend The Drum has learned.

Fitch founded the design studio of the same name in 1972 and was appointed Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1990 for his ‘influence on the British Design Industry’.

He left Fitch, which is now owned by WPP, at the end of 2009 to take on roles in higher education and as an independent advisor, consultant and non-executive to a broad portfolio of clients.
