Former Asda marketing boss lands at Homebase
Chris McDonough has joined Homebase to lead its marketing efforts 10 months after exiting Asda where he was marketing director.
McDonough left Asda earlier this year amid a massive consolidation of the retailer’s senior management team. He had initially been hired with the intention of eventually succeeding chief customer officer Steve Smith when he returned from secondment to parent company Walmart. However chief merchandising officer for food, Barry Williams, was instead promoted to Smith’s position and McDonough subsequently resigned.
