Global mobile ad spending increased 105% in 2013 – and is set to increase 75.1% this year

Facebook and Google saw an increase of $6.92 billion in net mobile ad revenues in 2013, research from eMarketer has found, as global mobile ad spending as a whole increased 105.0 per cent to total $17.96bn.

The two global companies accounted for more than two-thirds of worldwide mobile ad spending in 2013, the research discovered.

In 2013, Facebook accounted for 17.5 per cent of the global mobile ad market, and eMarketer predicts it will rise again this year to 21.7 per cent.
