Google acquires SlickLogin with aim to help ‘make the internet safer’

Google has acquired SlickLogin, the Israeli based startup which has the aim of keeping the log in process simply while improving security.

SlickLogin launched five months ago at TechCrunch Disrupt, with the aim to help verify a user’s identity through sound.

A website would play a unique noise, which an app on the users’ phone would analyse and send a signal back to the server to confirm the identity of the phone’s owner.
