Google reveals RankBrain AI handled 15% of its search queries over the last few months

Search giant Google has revealed it has been reliant on an AI called RankBrain to handle many search queries entered into the engine.

An artificial intelligence platform entitled RankBrain has been piloted by Google for the past few months to increase the accuracy of its search engine guesses, a lead scientist on the project told Bloomberg.

Greg Corrado, a senior research scientist working with RankBrain, said that the AI uses vectors to handle vast amounts of calculations required, using this computing power to hazard educated guesses on unfamiliar search terms.
