Barking mad search giant Google UK may have taken its drive for diversity ever-so-slightly too far having recruited a canine to manage its Twitter feed.

Celebrating #WoofWoofWednesday, which was trending on Twitter, the firm handed over the reins to its social network kingdom to a dog in a ballpit much to the glee of social media users.
