Google's Cardboard Camera app opens up VR photography on Android
Google has created an app which turns Android mobiles into 360-degree cameras as it looks to make the technology as inexpensive as possible with its entry-level Google Cardboard product.
The Google Cardboard camera operates in much the same way as a multiple-image panoramic shot – the only crux being the user is required to spin in a circle to capture the full scene.
Once the mobile is inserted into Cardboard, users will be able to explore the scenes in VR, complete with a 3D field of depth.
