Heineken and Wieden+Kennedy terminate global ad contracts

Heineken and Wieden+Kennedy (W+K) have reached an agreement to terminate the global advertising contracts for the brewer’s Heineken and Desperados brands after working together for five years.

In a statement issued by Heineken the Dutch company said that both parties are working to ensure that the relationship ends in a “timely and seamless” manner.

Jan Derck van Karnebeek, chief commercial officer, Heineken, commmented: “We work with multiple agencies on Heineken, to support the worldwide presence of the brand, and also to bring additional creative thinking.
