India's Hike Messenger acquires a tech startup to combat rival Whatsapp
In an attempt to compete with rival Whatsapp, India’s Hike Messenger is continuously evolving its marketing strategy. Post venturing into entertainment, Hike has now acquired a Bangalore based technology start up; Creo.
Creo was founded by former Hikers Sai Srinivas Kiran G and Shuham Malhotra, who have previously launched hardware products that include streaming media dongles and smartphones.
A spokesperson for Hike, explained: “The Creo team will begin work on a developer platform to enable third party developers to build services on the Hike platform”.
