Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed he is set to make a dramatic return to television screens as host of a new car show, with former Top Gear colleagues James May and Richard Hammond in tow.

The Sunday Times reports that an official announcement is expected within a matter of weeks with the rumour mill going into overdrive amidst suggestions that the trio are on the cusp of signing up to Netflix – most recently after the Daily Mirror cited ‘sources’ saying a deal was ‘very close’.
