A bitter exchange of claims and counter claims between two of South Korea’s largest electronics firms looks set to put Samsung’s notorious animosity with Apple in the shade after a senior LG executive was forced to deny that he’d sabotaged washing machines belonging to the electronics and home appliance giant.

Jo Seong-Jin, head of LG’s home appliance division, was depicted in surveillance footage, alongside two other employees ‘testing’ washing machine doors in a German shop.
