Lisa Clark steps down as executive producer of Top Gear after only 5 months
Lisa Clark, executive producer of Top Gear, is stepping down after only five months in her role.
Clark was hired in July to replace former Andy Wilman. The rebooted motor show, fronted by Chris Evans, is still in production, with its debut set for May. In her five months at the role, Clark has overseen pre-production and led early shooting at the filming location at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey.
Alex Renton, who has been series editor of Top Gear for 10 years, will oversee the show for now. The BBC claims a new executive producer will be announced in due course.
