Today we feature David Ogilvy’s foray into advertising as our marketing moment, since his career change was not only a significant moment in his own life, but also helped shape advertising as we know it today.

Before founding New York-based Hewitt, Ogilvy, Benson & Mather (which eventually became Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide) at age 38, Ogilvy had worked a number of different jobs across the globe.
