Amazon has received a slap on the wrists from the mayor of France over the rollout Amazon Prime Now.

The one-hour delivery service has been accused of “destabilising” trade in the French capital with the office of mayor Anne Hidalgo claiming they were only made aware of the launch days before it went live.

She went on to say a legislation will have to be enacted to ensure that there is no ”unfair competition against traders and craftsmen”.
