Microsoft fleshes out Google Chromecast rival

Microsoft looks set to slug it out with Google for control of the living room TV following rumours that the tech giant is preparing to unleash a streaming dongle of its own, in direct competition with Chromecast.
No official pronouncements have yet been made about the secret device but a filing made to the Federal Communications Division suggests the mooted gadget, codenamed HD-10, will house an HDMI port, Wi-Fi and USB charging unit.
According to Nokia Power User this very same codename was described in the Wi-Fi Alliance product database as a Miracast dongle, fuelling the present bout of speculation.
