Microsoft joins fitness band rush with digital wristband

Microsoft has jumped aboard the crowded fitness bandwagon, already crammed with the likes of Apple, Samsung and Google, with the launch of its own digital wristband.
The imaginatively titled Microsoft Band carves a niche for itself in a crowded market by dint of its cross compatibility with all three smartphone operating systems, ensuring it isn’t boxed into any one ecosystem.
Social media addicts will also be well catered for as the device can plug into the likes of Facebook and Twitter.
