Morrison’s shows signs of life as sales continue to grow

Tentative signs that embattled supermarket chain Morrison’s may have turned a corner have emerged in the company’s latest sales update, which show a continued rise in like-for-like sales, excluding fuel, rising by 0.7 per cent over the 13 weeks to 1 May.
In addition like-for-like transactions increased by 3.1 per cent although deflation remained an issue at 2.6 per cent.
