Netflix's smart socks just made binge viewing a whole lot easier
Netflix is continuing its mission to assist viewers in their gruelling marathon sessions with another do-it-yourself invention in the form of a pair of socks that can detect when the user has fallen asleep and pauses the programme.
Partnering once again with design company, Deeplocal- the company behind the Netflix button– Netflix has unveiled the socks in a new ad showcasing their capabilities.
Using a motion detection system known as actigraphy, the socks trigger a signal to the TV that pauses Netflex after a prolonged period of no movement.
