Newcastle fails to implement sponsor Wonga’s rebrand on next season's kits
English Premiership football side Newcastle FC has suffered a kit gaffe, unveiling the old logo of sponsor Wonga on its new home kit.
Today, hours before Newcastle revealed the new kit on Twitter, Wonga unveiled a rebranded logo, after last month having to deny reports it was looking to drop the brand name and start with a fresh leaf after suffering a pre-tax loss of £37.3m in 2014.
As a result of the mix-up Newcastle’s shirts will carry the older branding of the company, next season, instead of the new logo (shown below).
