Nicola Sturgeon slams childless politician New Statesman cover featuring her, Liz Kendall, Theresa May & Angela Merkel
Nicola Sturgeon has dubbed a New Statesman cover discussing childless female politicians the product of a by-gone era.
Also featuring UK home secretary Theresa May, Labour leadership candidate Liz Kendall and German chancellor Angela Merkal, the imagery upset a number of Twitter users.
In particular, it invoked the ire of Scottish politicians Nicola Sturgeon – who featured in the piece – in addition to Scottish Conservatives leader Ruth Davidson in a moment of rare solidarity between the duo.
