'Obscene racist comments' still on Twitter despite author's jailing

A Twitter timeline that was considered so offensive it earned its author a 16-month prison sentence is still visible on the micro-blogging site.

As The Drum reported yesterday 35 year old Abdul Hafes was jailed at Glasgow Sherriff court for his posts which included calls for Kurds and Shia Muslims to be killed and praise for Middle Eastern terrorist group ISIS.

After the sentencing David Harvie, Procurator Fiscal for West of Scotland, said: “Every man, woman and child has the right to live free from violence, and without fear of humiliation, harassment or abuse, based on prejudice.”
