Ooyala Q3 2015 Video Index: Consumers still prefer larger screens for longer content
Ooyala last week released its quarterly Video Index report, and while mobile video continues to surge (mobile video share of plays is up 50% over the past year), consumers still prefer tablets and connected TVs for longer content.
For videos under 10 minutes in length, consumers are favoring mobile devices. For videos 10-30 minutes in length, consumers are turning to tablet devices; for anything longer than 30 minutes, consumers are overwhelmingly turning to connected TVs.
